I have been playing golf for about 8 years. I was first introduced to golf by my dad who has continued to support me and improve my golf game as my coach. I have always aspired to play golf at a collegiate level, in hopes to make new relations and obtain the full college experience.
I have great touch around the green and am very consistent with my driver and irons. I am very coachable as I am very open to new ideas and techniques. I work well with a team and can contribute to the execution of crucial shots under pressure.
I attend a relatively small school called Design Tech High School in Redwood City, in which they focus on encouraging their students to learn using a different approach called design thinking. Through this school, I have developed new skillsets for thinking critically and problem-solving. I am also attending San Mateo Community College where I have consistently made the Dean's list. I maintain a high GPA at both schools.
I am very well rounded as I play at a high level in the Peninsula Youth Orchestra as a first violinist, and also perform on stage as one of the lead ballerinas for the South San Francisco Civic Ballet. I currently have an online e-commerce business that helps support my artistic hobbies.
I stay very committed to what I set out to accomplish and enjoy the process of learning. I want to attend a college where I can apply my design thinking and artistic skills in the field of architecture. I am open to a variety of colleges that will challenge me in the classroom and on the golf course.
I have had some ups and downs in the past, where my dad had a cardiac arrest at home. Our family struggled to stay strong during this long process of his recovery. It is a miracle that he has now fully recovered and can continue his life where he left it. From this experience, I learned to become a good contributor to society, to be a good role model for my younger brothers, and to continue to share my love for my parents and those around me.
