Chloe Chaney '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! 

I'm a high school sophomore from Great Oak Highschool in Temecula, California. Although my legal name may be Chloe, I don't personally use that name as it no longer fits me. I go by Circe, use they/them pronouns, and don't tend to respond to anything other than that. 

My primary goal in college is to become a teacher, likely one that teaches science or math, while I pursue my main passion of becoming an author. In school, I put in the utmost effort to do my best and earn the grades I know I can achieve. I don't tend to procrastinate and have many strategies to keep myself motivated for my assignments and studying. I also tend to challenge myself often by taking as many AP classes as I believe I can handle, which also helps me keep up my strong work ethic.

Golfing is one of my main passions. I was introduced to it by my father at a very young age and have enjoyed it for a long time, even more so now that I'm part of a team. As a teammate, I tend to do my best to ease the tensions of other teammates through jokes and words of encouragement, while also focusing on my game and knowing when it is appropriate to speak and when it isn't. As a golfer, I do my best to take the advice I'm given to improve and I'm constantly analyzing what is and isn't working with my technique. I don't settle for "good enough" and always look for new ways to improve.
