Sara Pineros '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sara Piñeros, I'm 15 years old and I'm currently in my Junior year, I will be a 2023 graduate from Westlake Preparatory and academy in Weston, FL. 

Along the way, my parents always insisted I practice a sport, and when I was 5 I started to play golf, I’ve been playing golf for ten years now, and it became my passion because I began loving every single thing that has to do with it, and I always wanted to improve every single part of my game, mentally, in my swing, routine, and more. Since always I was characterized for being a competitive person and I enjoyed the fact of playing golf in a competitive way and during the years I have participated in many tournaments on a national and international level, and my performance has always been outstanding at most of them.

Additionally, I am part of the golf high school team at Westlake Preparatory, and being part of this team has helped me to improve my game along with my friends, I could also learn to practice and improve as a team by supporting each other in every single tournament of the season. 

On the other hand, I had been working really hard with my technical coach, Jorge Mesa, to improve my game and build on my strengths. I feel most confident with my second shot and my putting, because they play a really important role in my game due to the fact that I trust them and that I practice them for being each time more precise.  I also feel that my mental game is very strong because every day I go to practice, I always try to challenge myself for preparing me for every single thing that could happen in the course so I can get better, and that I always find a way to fix my bad shots.

My GPA is currently 3.98, And I'm interested in attending college and being able to golf being part of a very good team, because I feel that it would be an experience that can challenge me as a person and put on test every single thing I’ve learned in these past years, I also feel that I would work hard on my academics and become a professional, being closer to my dreams and know that I could follow them. By studying hard and playing good golf.
