Personal Statement

I have been playing golf for around 3 years now. I used to play softball and I tried out golf and fell in love with it! I am on the leadership team at my church and I have been trained and I am currently being trained to lead.  At Fletcher High School I am the captain on the golf team. For NFJG I have received the player of the year, the Jack Nicklaus award, summer season, spring season, and the most birdies in my 2019-2020 year.

My goal for my academics, is to succeed in the aice program and receive full bright futures. During my golf rounds I try to keep the best attitude, even when I’m not playing well. I also try to encourage who I am golfing with, when they have bad shots. My good attitude allows me to come back when I have a bad hole.

I play lacrosse, surfing and weightlifting, outside of golf.

I just started taking course lessons from Kevin Glynn, at Jax Beach golf course. At the beginning of my golf training I practiced once or twice a week, but this past year I have dedicated myself to golf and I try to practice or play a round everyday.

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. My freshman year I took geometry.My sophomore year I took algebra two, and Earth space science. This year I am taking ASL honors, and pottery 3 honors.
Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. Aice program. My freshman year I took pre-aice biology, pre-aice Eng Lang IG, and Ap human geography. My sophomore year, i took Aice thinking skills, Aice marine, Aice European history, Aice general paper, and pre Aice chemistry. This year I am taking zoology through FSCJ, AP statistics, aice English, aice global perspectives, aice US history.

  • AwardsI have been accepted into the Aice program, and I am excelling. I have been taking college credit courses, and plan to continue to take more. I have been accepted into the Science Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. I passed my first college class through FSCJ(zoology) with a 91 on the final.
  • ActivitiesI attend Student church (United, through Beach church). I am on, and have been on the leadership team for United since I was a freshman in high school. I am also a serve team captain for serving at church.. I go on mission trips, to Jamaica every winter and summer. I volunteer at Jax beach golf course to help with the junior golf team. I volunteer with Beach Necks, to help plant sea oats and clean the beach.
