Jade Mauga '22 Recruiting Profile

Aloha My name is Jade Mauga and I am 16 years old.  I attend Hawaii Baptist Academy and will be a Senior this August 2021. I believe being selected on the HBA Varsity Golf Team during my Freshman year and making States was one of my most memorable, fun and important experience playing High School Golf. My Sophomore year golf was interrupted with COVID and Junior year we were playing golf wearing a mask. I am hopeful that my Senior Year will be back to normal.  I tend to be competitive, work hard and prepare myself for golf tournaments. Although, I passionately love playing golf! I do my hardest to give my very best and evaluate what I would have done better the next time and continue to improve myself in the sport I love and enjoy. One of my goals is to Play Collegiate Golf.  Now that I am a Senior I like to say that I feel confident and have a clearer expectation of what my goals and aspirations are as I continue my golf journey as a student athlete.

I am very blessed to go to a school that has a golf program and parents that are always supportive. I learned the values of dedication, friendship, team work, patience and commitment playing tournaments with my golf team. I am open to applying any constructive feedback, communication and value life experiences to learn, challenge and improve myself by giving my best effort at all times. I also show commitment as a student athlete because I am dedicated to give my best while keeping my grades up in school. I planned to apply to a college or university that has a golf program.  I know the importance of higher education and I have a high academic goal to graduate with honors.
