Kalyn Bebej '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kalyn Bebej! I am 17 years old and a Junior at Minooka Community High School (Chicago Suburbs). I have been playing golf since my freshman year and have worked on and off the course to improve my game. I have been on the Varsity team my entire career and intend to keep improving my game as I continue. I am an honors student and maintain above a 4.0 GPA. My hope is to play collegiate golf while also furthering my academic career at a 4 year university. 

Athletics have always been a huge part of my life since I was young. Since I was 5, I was a competitive USAG gymnast. Gymnastics has shaped my work ethic and mentality today. Transitioning from level 10 gymnastics, during the pandemic, to golf have brought a “goldfish“ mentality, and the humility of making mistakes. I will bring a competitive edge and light personality to the team. 

I grew up in a competitive environment as both my brothers currently play D1 soccer; respectively, Marquette and Indiana University. I understand the hard work it takes to be a student athlete at the next level and couldn’t imagine my college experience any other way. 

My academic pursuits are the main focus in my college search, as well as culture. My family have always supported me weather in the classroom or on the course, and have shaped me into the person I am today. We represent traditional values that I intend to carry with me at the next level.
