I love golf. I have been playing golf since I was six years old and I have been competing since I was eight. I have always been happy whenever I am in the golf course.
I have competed in several junior golf tournaments in the Philippines, Australia, the United States of America and now in Canada. I am very dedicated to golf and it is my goal to continuously improve my game. In Australia, I have learned to always find ways to do better. My coaches at the Rowville Sports Academy have helped me develop into the golfer that I am now. I was part of the Golf Victoria Under 15 team for two years in a row (2017 and 2018). While I enjoy playing and competing as an individual, I also love being part of a team.
Now that I am in Canada, I joined the different junior golf tournaments in Ontario beginning in June 2019. Most of the tournaments I played in 2019 are with the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), CJGA and the Toronto Junior Golf Tour. For the Toronto Junior Golf Tour, I was declared as the 2019 Juvenile Girls Division (14-16 years old) Champion. In the MJT, I won as Champion in the 15-18 Girls Division in Four of the Six tournaments I joined and I got the highest rank in the Ontario MJT Order of Merit. I qualified to be part of the MJT Team Ontario East in the recently concluded National Team Challenge at the Royal Niagara Golf Club on September 20-22, 2019 where I finished fourth in the Girls Division. I also qualified to be part of the MJT Team Canada which competed in the 2019 JNJG International Junior Classic held in NSW, Australia on October 1-4, 2019.
In 2020, I played in the 2020 Ontario Women's Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships, where I finished Tied 15th and the 2020 Ontario Junior Girls Championship where I finished Tied 14th. The most recent tournament I played was on October 9-12, 2020 at the 2020 Golf Ontario Super Camp, where the Top 30 Girls and Boys Junior Golfers in the Province of Ontario, Canada, were invited to a four-day event of Testing, Short Course Competition and Two-day Golf Tournament . My partner and I won the Girls' Short Course Competition with a 2 Under score. I was awarded as the Girls Champion in the Two-day Golf Tournament (October 11 and 12, 2020).
I am currently training with Coach Rich Storey of the Rattlesnake Point Golf Academy. I have also been recently selected by Golf Ontario to be part of Team Ontario for 2020-2021.
In college, I am in between taking up a Law course, Advertising course, Psychology or a course in Physiotherapy. One thing that I am certain, though, is that I would like to be a part of a golf team where my skills will be honed and tapped to its maximum potential. I would like to be able to contribute to my future golf team's success. I would also wish to have a healthy balance between my academics and my sports. I am very competitive but my biggest competitor has always been myself. I know that in the game of golf, I compete with my previous performance, that is why I would like to always improve in my game.
After college, I dream of playing in and becoming part of the LPGA and be among the top players of ladies professional golf.
