November 2018 Personal Statement
¡Hola!
My name is Isabella Lugo, and I’m from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I attend Cupeyville School (an English-speaking, college-preparatory school), Class of 2021.
I have been playing golf since I was 7 years old. About 2 years ago I decided that I wanted to play college golf. Since then, I’ve been working hard to achieve that goal. I practice hard, learn quickly and never give up! I am also learning what it takes to form part of a college team, and I’m preparing myself for that challenge by the time I graduate from high school. I am committed to doing this, and given the opportunity, I know I would make a good addition to any team.
Currently I play for Cupeyville School’s varsity golf team as well as in several local junior golf leagues. I am also an active member of the USKG Tour and play every season.
Academically, I also study hard. My current GPA is 3.6 and I would like to study pre-med in college so that one day I can become a doctor.
