Hello my name is Emma Laker. I am going to be a Junior at Bishop Brossart High School. This is going to be my fourth year playing for the varsity girls golf team. I started to love the game of golf six years ago while participating in The First Tee of Greater Cincinnati Program. I’m still a participant today and a volunteer as a coach for younger golfers. First Tee not only teaches me about the game of golf but also the life skills that come with it, and how to build your character, while becoming a better person and player. I’m also a member of the LPGA Girls Golf Program as an eLeader for the past two years. As an eLeader, we are able to instruct young girls on the benefits of learning the game of golf. This opportunity allows me to build leadership skills and also make a difference in my community.
I am also very involved in the clubs at my school. I am a member of the National Beta Club, National Honors Society, Kindness Club, Drug Free Club of America, and Seek and Find Ministry. Through the participation of these clubs, I have learned the importance of helping others that are not as fortunate. I’ve gained skills that will help me achieve my goals in the future.
I would love to continue my golf game at the next level. I believe that my hard work, dedication and good attitude would be an assent to any team. Thank you!
