Hello! My name is Grace Celso and I am from Saline, Michigan. I started playing golf at the age of 12 and I immediately fell in love with the game. Having overcome a season ending back injury, as well as an injury to my shoulders, I have had to work through a heavy amount of adversity from things out of my control. Not only am I driven to become the best I can be on the course and in the classroom, but I also strive improve myself every day, whether that is by taking care of my body, forming strong relationships with those around me, or being a light for others, I put my entire heart into everything I do. Ever since I started playing golf, my swing coach has called me Sunshine. This nickname has stuck with me all through the years, as I was named it for my ability to make other peoples' days brighter. I believe that I was put on this Earth to be kind to and help others in whatever way I can, whether that is by making them laugh or simply being someone they can confide in. In addition, I am coachable, willing to work, driven, mentally strong, and a high achiever, which shows in my 4.0 unweighted GPA and in my improvement as a golfer in just a few years. I often take care of not only my body through eating healthy and working out, but I am also committed to keeping my mentality on and off the course strong, as I do hypnotherapy, meditation, and breathing exercises to stay calm and focused. As I continue to enjoy the process, I trust that God will be there every step of the way.
