Grace Claney '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Grace Claney, a soon to be senior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis MO. I have been playing tournament golf competitively since 8th grade. Since then I have been practicing and working to improve my golf game. From here on out I will continue to practice and play in many tournaments. My goal is to push myself to be the best golfer and athlete I can be.

Currently, my average drive is around 240 yards. During my junior year, I placed 2nd at conference, and at districts, I placed 12 at Links at Dardene.  Also at my run at state I made the all-state team with placing 15th at Silo Ridge. 

I recently completed in an Accelerated Tournament and placed 1st overall at Whitmoor Country Club. 

Over the summer I went on a trip to Scotland to play golf with 25 girls from the United States. We played golf against Scottish girls using match play four-ball format. It was an amazing experience to be apart of and was a great way to play different styles of courses.

In addition to golf, I have 3 years of Varsity Basketball experience. During my sophomore and junior year I started and my junior year we won a district championship and made it to the elite 8 for our state run. 

My goal is to get a good education and continue to develop as a competitive golfer.
