I started swinging a golf club at 10 when my father got me some clubs so he could take me to the driving range with him however I did not actually play golf on a course. I was committed to playing club/travel soccer which was year around. The summer between my 8th grade and freshman year I decided to put all my effort in golf and gave up soccer. My freshman year's high school golf tournament was my first ever experience with competitive golf. I learned a ton that year and just missed out on regional. My Sophomore year I broke through and made regionals as an individual and qualified for state as an individual. I made a 10' putt in the dark on the 18th hole for par that got me in. My love for the game has grown more as I play it and I am dedicated to becoming the best player I can be.
My overall collegiate golf goals would be that I get to continue to learn the game and have a coach that can help elevate me to my highest potential. I also want be there for the team in what ever way they may need me. Whether that's making a putt to win a match, working hard daily to get better or being there to support my teammates and lift them up when they need it. I believe that being a great teammate, competitor and overall person is just as important if not more important than winning. Academically, I want to be challenged and find my true passion. I am looking for a career in church ministry.
What makes me different from most girls my age is my faith. I live my life for Jesus in a way that those around me know there is something different about me. That is Christ in me. I look to be a light in a world that is full of darkness. At 16 years of age I have written and delivered sermons from the pulpit at youth services for the church I attend. I am a leader in youth groups and spend time volunteering and serving for the Lord.
