Hi, my name is Sophia Oliver and I have been passionate about golf since I first picked up a club at 6 years old. Over the years, the game has taught me patience, discipline and mental resilience—qualities I carry with me both on and off the course. I aspire to compete at the collegiate level while pursuing a major in pre-med. Currently, I am a high school student on the High Honor Roll and a member of the Ridgewood Academy for Health Professions (RAHP), a competitive and selective honors/AP program for students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
Outside of golf and academics, I’ve also competed in classical piano competitions and had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall. This experience taught me how to channel nerves into focus—an ability that translates directly to the golf course. Performing in such high-pressure environments has strengthened my mental toughness and appreciation for practice and precision.
Balancing rigorous academics, competitive golf, and high-level music has shaped me into a well-rounded and disciplined student-athlete. I believe what sets me apart is not just my dedication, but my passion for growth—in athletics, academics, and character. I’m excited to bring that same work ethic, positivity, and determination to a collegiate program that values student-athletes who strive for success in all aspects of life.
