Hi! I'm Mackenzie. I am currently a sophomore at St. Davids School in Raleigh, NC. I love playing the game of golf and continuing to work on different areas in my game to improve. I started playing golf/taking lessons when I was 6, but I really started getting competitive with golf about 3 years ago. In the past 3 years I have seen a big improvement in my scoring, and with my golf game in general.

Played two solid rounds shooting 75-74 for a total of 149. I finished T-1 out of 24 and went to a playoff that went 8 holes. I unfortunately lost on the 8th hole of the playoff, but overall it was a great tournament. Course setup 6,048 yards with a course rating of 75.1.

Played a great round, finishing T1 out of 19 with a score of +1 73 and qualified into the 3 day event. Course Rating 75.1, Slope 138 and 5844 yards. Unfortunately, the tournament rounds were canceled due to weather.

20th Dogwood Junior Girls Championships

The 2024 event was converted into an All Match Play event with three rounds of group play before entering bracket play. There were a total of 22 girls playing in this event. I went 3-0 in my group play matches 4&3, 5&3, 4&3. In Bracket Play I won my first 2 matches both 1 UP and lost in the championship match 2&1 finishing runner up!

Played a great round in this qualifier, but fell just 2 shots short of a playoff for 3rd qualifying spot into the main tournament event. Shot 76 and finished T-7 out of 23. Course Rating 72.0 with a Slope of 128 and 5822 yards.

Played in the Bell National Division. Had a tough day the first day shooting 84, but came back on day 2 to improve by 11 shots and shoot 73 finishing with a total 157 and T-7th. Course setup 5823 yards with a Course Rating and Slope of 74.9/137.

27th North Carolina Junior Girls' Championship

The Jr Girls' Championship is played over 4 days, with 36 holes of stroke play qualifying rounds and then the field is cut to the top 32 for match play. I qualified for match play shooting 79-76 for a total 155 and finishing T-7. Moving into match play I was seeded 7th winning my first match in the round of 32 7&5, and wining my second match in the round of 16 3&2 defeating the defending champion to reach the quarterfinals. Course setup at 5742 yards with a course rating and slope of 75.7/133.

The NB3/PKBGT Regional is a qualifier to play in the NB3/PKBGT Junior Golf National Championship. I competed in the 16-18 division and finished T-2 with a two day total of 80-81=161. There was only 1 qualifying spot for the JGNC, but with the T-2 finish I was named as an alternate to the championship, and was also invited to the NB3/PKBGT East Coast Invitational, which will be held in Orlando, FL at Mission Inn Golf Course and Resort at the end of January 2024.
