I have been golfing competitively for the past 2 years. I worked very hard to learn the game of golf and I grew to love it. I enjoy playing with my teammates, friends, and family. I also continue to take lessons with a swing coach twice a week, even through the winter, to continue to improve on all aspects of my golf game. I look forward to putting in more time and I will always work hard to become a better player.
Academics is also very important to me. I currently have a 27 on the ACT and a 4.0 GPA. I will be graduating as valedictorian of my class and I am currently enrolled in weighted AP classes, so I should graduate with about a 4.2 GPA. Academics have always been very important to me and I work very hard in the classroom and at home to keep up my good grades.
Community and extra-curricular involvement is also very important to me. I frequently volunteer in my community because it is beneficial to others, and I find it very rewarding. I was even the Calcutta Rotary Community Service Student of the Month for my work in our community. I enjoy helping others and am always looking for opportunities to make a difference.
I have always dreamed about the life changing experience college can be and I would love to be able to continue my golf career in college. I am willing to work very hard and am open to all opportunities that are offered to me.
