Autumn Schmidt '19 Recruiting Profile

My  name is Autumn Schmidt and I am beginning my senior year this fall at Lake High School in Millbury, OH.  Academics and athletics have always gone hand in hand for me and this is why I am looking for a college where I can play women golf at the highest possible level and get a great education in the process. My ambitions have always been on playing at a D1 or D2 school who also focuses on academics. I fell in love with the sport of golf when I was thirteen years old and since freshman year have been working hard at my goal of playing at the collegiate level.  While continuing to play golf all spring and summer as I work at CIC (catawba island club,) Golf Course, I have also been practicing 2-3 times a week this winter with my swing coach and in our school simulator.  I have been seeing impressive changes and am confident that I can lower my average this season.  I encourage my coaches to push me to be the best player I can be, but also want to continue to be the best person I can be both on and off the course.  

My main goal is to be challenged in both school and golf and to become part of a great program.  I am looking for a school with spirit and solid academics.  I would love to become active with the university and golf program even after I graduate.  I am very open-minded as to where I attend college and I am ultimately searching for a school that supports my future career goals.
