Amber Nemis '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an avid sports fan that has fallen in love with golf only 3-4 years ago. I've always played high level rep hockey growing up, and almost every other sport along the way. Golf was just a hobby for me in the "off season" from hockey, but working with my coach who encouraged me to try some tournaments a few years ago, I discovered the same passion I had for hockey in golf! The competing, practicing, seeing steady improvements, and just challenging myself to be better all the time is so enjoyable. I've really turned a corner to now thinking of hockey in the "off season" when I'm not golfing! 

I really love being a part of a team, as I've always been a leader on successful teams growing up and would love the opportunity to work towards my dream of becoming a Veterinarian while playing competitive golf at an NCAA school. I have always been successful at balancing high-level academics with athletics, part-time work, family time and good relationships. I can't wait for the many challenges and opportunities that await my college career!
