I fell in love with golf at the age of 11. No one in my family played. I just decided one day that I would love to give it a try. I have pushed myself daily since that day. I have played on the varsity team at my high school since the 7th grade. I made it to state all years, including once as an individual. This year, my sophomore year I tied my school's individual scoring record at our Region tournament with a score of 68. Our team secured our very first region title in Girl's golf. I have been competing in SCJGA, PKB and CGA tournaments since I was 12. I am currently ranked 23 in the state of SC. This year, I lost my sister to breast cancer. She was 23 and special needs. For most of her life, almost everything she did was a challenge for her. I've watched her push through and do everything she could to do normal things. She became a cheerleader. She competed in the special Olympics, and she was voted Homecoming Queen. She has inspired my game so much. My drive and determination 100% comes from her. The thing I admire most about her was that absolutely nothing was ever out of reach. I go to the course almost daily to work on my goals. I believe goals define you as a person and without them we lack purpose. I want to play at the collegiate level. I would love to find a program that is successful, hard-working, active in the golf community, and has a family environment. I also sing and compete at the county and state level in music and maintain and All-A average. I am active in my church and school and with A night to shine which is the special needs prom promoted by the Tim Tebow foundation. I love the discipline, the work ethic, the respect, the friendships and the community that golf has brought to my life. I honestly hope that I will be playing the rest of my life! I truly love the game. I am forever grateful for the experiences and joy that competing in this sport has brough to my life. I am outgoing and fun and would be a great asset to ladies team!
