Growing up in the sport of golf has taught me life lessons that other sports can't teach. Throughout the years, I have learned to accept the things I can't control and to focus on what I can. Dwelling on the past holds you back from moving forward, just like dwelling on a bad shot won't allow you to focus on the one right in front of you.
I've been on the golf course from the moment I learned how to walk. Family is the greatest influence on my game and without their support I wouldn't be the athlete, or the person I am today. On my school team, I have been player 1 and team captain for the girls since sophomore year. I do everything I can to be a role model for my teammates and encourage them to be the best they can be. I am working to be successful in the classroom and on the golf course, and I'll keep pushing to reach my goals. I believe I have the talent and work ethic to compete at the college level and hope to prove that by making your team!
