I may not be the tallest golfer, but that hasn't stopped me using my upper body strength to hit the ball farther than most of my competitors. Prior to playing golf, I played competitive volleyball for 3 years on a national touring team as a Libero. The strength training I received as a Libero helped build a great foundation for my transition to golf (where being tall wasn't a necessity). I lucked into meeting a nationally recognized golf coach who has helped me make massive improvement in my game. In the 2.5 years since starting golf, I've decreased my average score by 20 points and it continues to decrease. My goal during the remainder of my high school golf career is to move my average below the 80's and to sign to play collegiate golf. I've been blessed to play golf with my grandparents who play 5 times a week. They got me started with my first lesson. I thought I would take a few lessons to make them happy but now it's makes me happy to have them watch me play at a high level.
