Hi there! My name is Hailey LeMaire (17) and I am currently in my senior year of high school. I graduate in May and am looking forward to going straight to college in the fall.
I have been playing golf since I was 6 years old and started doing tournaments at the ripe age of 7. (I would also like to mention that I got my first hole-in-one when I was 9 at the U.S. Kids World Championship. :D) My sister is one of my biggest golf inspirations. She is 19 and currently playing at a D1 school for golf. I really want to follow in her footsteps regardless of our difference in skill level. Throughout the years, I have gone through many different phases where I wanted to try other sports than golf, which gave me quite a few breaks from golf. Around Freshman year was when I started getting more serious about the game and understanding how important it is to stay dedicated to one sport.
Something that differentiates me from other recruits is my quick and smooth ability to learn new things and adapt to them -- specifically when receiving help from coaches. I am an extremely good sport and very positive no matter the circumstances. Unlike many others, I never let mistakes get the best of me. I always jump right back up and continue.
I am so thrilled (and nervous) to have this opportunity to introduce myself as a dedicated and driven golfer seeking to continue my athletic and academic journey at the collegiate level. I am excited to explore the possibilities that college golf can offer. Golf has shaped not only my skills on the course, but also my character off of it. The challenges and triumphs that come with this sport have taught me such valuable lessons in discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Every day out on the course is a chance to learn, adapt, and improve, and I am always eager to better myself and contribute to my team's success.
I am confident that my passion for golf, my academic achievements, and my values make me a strong candidate for collegiate golf programs. I look forward to bringing my skills, energy, and determination to a team that values not only athletic excellence but also personal growth.
