Personal Statement
I attend Lutheran South Academy in Houston, Texas. I developed a passion and love for golf when I started going to the driving range to hit balls at the age of four. I have participated in golf tournaments at various levels since the age of seven. Over the years I have worked to improve my game by working with a golf coach and by attending a golf academy. Last couple of years, the LSA girl’s golf team had several first time players. I helped several of the first time players with their skills and provided moral support at the tournaments. Last two years, the girl’s team made it to District and advanced onto Regionals and State. At State, the girl’s team took fourth place(2018), 2nd place (2019) and I took fourth place(2018), T2nd place (2019) as an individual.
I also have a strong passion and love for school. I love to learn and challenge myself academically. My favorite subject is math and I plan to follow the STEM curriculum. I work very hard for my grades and my goal is to graduate in the top ten percent of my class.
Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering with the local public library and with the Junior Junior League of Galveston County. I also enjoy being creative and love to knit, crochet and draw.
My goals for college are to succeed academically and to play on a team where everyone supports each other. I am open to all options and hope to find the best college that will allow me to showcase my strengths in the classroom and on the golf course.
