In college I plan to study forensic biology and criminal justice. I am a very curious person and I love piecing together all the little details to solve a mystery. This holds true for my love of golf as well, the sport is one constant puzzle of trying to figure out distance, swing correction, reading a green and more. What makes me different? I grew up playing volleyball and even played fall of my freshman year, in the spring of 2020 I asked to join golf. Initially I wanted to improve my game to be able to play more with my dad and grandfather, I did not expect to fall in love with the game and give up the sport I had known my whole life to focus all my passion and dedication on golf.
What makes me stand out? I believe it is my drive, both personal and actual drive off the tee. The first varsity tournament I played in my freshman year I shot a 112, by the end of my sophomore year I was at a 94 and this past summer I shot in the 80's with an 88, 87 and 83. This season started with an 84, that is a 28 stroke drop in less than 2 years. This year, my goal is to stay in the 80's with the focus on getting in the 70's by my senior year. I know I have the personal drive to achieve that. With my driver currently hitting an average 230 yards with a swing speed of 86, I also know I have the internal drive to push my swing speed into the 90s and to carry the ball 250 yards and beyond. My farthest drive by far is 276
I am in the top 22% of my class with AP and DC classes. In my senior year I plan to take classes such as anatomy, forensic science and Pathophysiology . As a person, I like being independent while also knowing I have a team to support me and I can support them back. I am involved with many organizations at my school such as FFA, Spanish Club, and I volunteer with our area middle school golf team.
My dream is to find a college that will both challenge my academic and athletic drive.
