I was introduced to the world of golf a little over 5 years ago by my grandfather when he took me to a driving range. It didn’t take long for me to learn that to become better, I had to be mentally strong and I had to be able to get out of my own head. Doing that would free my mind to focus on the game. Once I decided that I wanted to play golf in college I was determined to improve my game and be ready to play Varsity for my high school. My effort has continued to pay off because I have been on Varsity since my freshman year and this year, as a junior, I am Team Captain. With this leadership role, I will be able to share my knowledge and help my teammates grow.
