I have loved gymnastics for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with the sport at around 3 years old and loved the feeling of flipping through the air. I enjoyed watching videos on YouTube of people doing certain skills and I would try to recreate those skills in my backyard. I started taking classes at Gold Coast Gymnastics and fell in love with the sport. I took classes for a while and then I moved up to team. I have been on team for about six and a half years.
When I first started at Gold Coast, I didn't really have a plan for my future, but that all changed about three years ago. We had gotten a new coach, who happened to be a former college gymnast, and that changed everything for me. As I started moving up in levels and saw the progress I was making, I realized that college gymnastics was something that I wanted to do. I want to be able to compete in an atmosphere where girls are cheering each other on and have a true love for the sport. I want to represent the college I am competing at and bring a positive and uplifting attitude to the team, even if that just means bringing a smile to practice everyday. Academically, I want to excel with good grades and become knowledgeable about what I am studying.
