The life of a student-athlete is a life of sacrifice, passion, determination, organization, and love. I have been a student-athlete for over 10 years and there is no better life to live. Through the emotional highs and lows, injuries, late nights, early mornings, and setbacks, I have kept my goals in mind to one day become a college gymnast and head down the path of a lawyer. I have worked hard to keep my academics on par and maintain good relationships with my teachers. Although, in my sophomore year, I did struggle with my academics due to mental health (which I have been improving on over time with professional help) and a serious concussion, I have been firmly focused on once again having exceptional grades. Concerning my gymnastics, I believe whether I have an outstanding or a not-so-great day I improve or learn in some way. I understand that right now I may not be on par, but im dedicated to putting in the time and effort it takes to make my goals come true. I have come so far and I will not turn back now.
