Hello, my name is Rachel Welch, and I am 17 years old. I started gymnastics when I was 7 years old and am currently a level 10 at Chow’s Gymnastics & Dance in West Des Moines, Iowa. I enjoy cheering on my teammates and having a productive/fun time during practice!

Northern Lights Classic
3/04/23 to 3/05/23
I love the Northern Lights Classic meet, I look forward to this meet every year during the season. This year at this meet I scored, 1st on the beam with a 9.275, 1st on bars with a 9.4, and 1st all-around with a score of 36.800. Due to this, I qualified for event finalist the next day. At event finalist, I got 1st on bars with a 9.625 and 5th on beam with a 9.1! Overall, my favorite meet of the year so far!

Presidential Classic in Orlando, Florida was very thrilling. I had the best time at this meet, I truly loved the open stretch song they created and played. I scored 1st on beam with a 9.475, 2nd on vault, bars, and all-around. Overall, I really enjoyed this meet and the trip around this meet.

I had a fantastic experience at this meet this past weekend! I scored 1st overall with a 35.250 and qualified for bars event finals. At the event finals, I scored a 9.775 on bars and received 1st place! Very happy and proud of my score on bars!

Placed 2nd on vault(9.3), bars(9.0), and floor(9.3). Along with 3rd on beam(8.875) and 1st in all-around! I’m proud of myself, but I’m going to continue to work hard and increase my scores!

Went to the Lindenwood Fall Camp from Nov. 5th-6th. I got to meet the coaches and their team, and overall have a fun time interacting with everyone who attended the camp!
