I am excited to pursue my dream of competing as a college gymnast. Being a gymnast for many years has taught me resiliency, the importance of setting goals, and the benefits of hard work. Since recovering from an injury last summer, I am more determined to improve my skills, become a stronger athlete, and do my best each day in the gym.
One thing that I am proud of is my ability to put a bad performance behind me and focus on the next event. This is a skill that can set me apart from others. I work hard and stay focused but I also like to have fun in the gym. Keeping the sport you love fun is something that is important. I enjoy being part of a team and am good at following the direction of my coaches.
Keeping up with my schoolwork, participating in National Honors Society and the Leadership, Experience and Opportunity (LEO) Club while being in the gym many hours a week shows my dedication, work ethic, and ability to balance life which will make me a top strong candidate for any team.
I hope to find a college team that feels like a family and a college that provides me many opportunities to grow.
