Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Paige Jestadt. I just finished a fun and successful 2021-22 club season as the starting libero/DS for Greater Columbus Volleyball Club’s 16 national team. There is no better feeling than digging out a hard hit or covering my teammates when they go to block!
I will be a Junior at Jonathan Alder High School (J.A.H.S) in Plain City, Ohio this school year. I am honored to say that I made the varsity team for the second year! As an upper classman this year, my goal is to develop my leadership skills. I plan to reach that goal by continuing to work on my volleyball skills every day, and to be a good role module for J.A.H.S volleyball program by being kind, respectful and supportive of my teammates, coaches and parents on and off the court.
I started playing volleyball when I was eight years old in Plain City’s intermural league. I instantly fell in love with volleyball and went on to tryout and make a club team that same year. I have been playing club volleyball for the last eight years at american and national levels.
My dream is to play volleyball in College! To make that dream a reality, I work hard every day to make myself a better volleyball player than I was the day before. Whether it is attending an extra lesson, working out, watching college games, or passing to myself in the driveway, I am always looking for new opportunities to play volleyball and become a better player.
