Gymnastics is scary, like many other things in life. Most things that scare people in life aren't physically harmful; they are more mentally harmful. Gymnastics its both. It is very easy to get hurt in gymnastics, but gymnastics isn't all about practice. It is about competition. At a competition everyone biggest fear is falling but most of time it's just falling in general not one that leads to an injury. That is mental. Many studies show that peoples top two biggest fears are death and public speaking. There is a saying based on the that; "at a funeral the person giving the speech would rather be in the coffin rather than giving the speech". The biggest thing gymnastics has taught me is how to trust the process to ensure my safety and how to handle myself under mental pressure. Which is one of the most important things in gymnastics. Although this is not only important in gymnastics but in life as well. My aspirations is to go into business management which means talking in front of people. Knowing how to handle the mental pressure is mandatory in business.
