Hello! My name is Avery Johnson and I'm a 2023 Grad that loves playing goalie. I've been a full-time goaltender since the age of 8 and have trained very hard with my private goalie coaches and teams over the past 10 years. Due to the fact that I live 5 hours away from the closest AAA team, I decided to stay closer to home and play for the local AA team to concentrate on my studies and graduate with my friends. I have achieved an above 90% average and will graduate with high honors at the end of January 2023.
I'd like to play college or university hockey while continuing to focus on my studies to become an Nurse Practitioner. I am a technical goalie that is calm under pressure and can adapt to any situation thrown at me. I am very used to seeing 30-50+ shots per game and I thrive on it. My strong leadership skills allow me to work easily with anyone and I've been told by many coaches that I'm a true leader on and off the ice.
I'm looking forward to facing new challenges in hockey and school and would love to have the opportunity to continue playing a sport I love while attending college or university.
