My name is Katie Sheahan and I am a goalie for North American Hockey Academy (NAHA). I am an ambitious and driven person, ready for every puck coming my way. I am always focused and zoned in. I do the work and deliver the results. I challenge myself constantly to become a better goalie and am extremely coachable. I'm a quick learner who's always looking for an opportunity to do better and be better. When I’m at the rink, I’m always smiling. I make an immediate effort to know my teammates and to introduce myself to new players. Making others feel welcome is important to me because this person is now a part of my team, my family. I am a leader and love being a model for off ice workouts.
Something that makes me different is that I’m selfless and I put my team before myself, so we succeed as a team. I thrive when my teammates thrive. Normally, people say to give 100% effort, but for me that's not enough. I work at 150% effort and give it my all the whole time.
I’ve been a goalie for eight years. I’ve won 3rd place in state twice, 1st place in state twice, and 2nd place in state once. I won Goalie of the Week the first year I attended the renowned Mitch Korn Goalie Camp, and I have won the coveted award for GDI Goalie Camp two years straight.
