Hello Coaches and Recruiters,
I live in Strathmore Alberta and I am currently in grade 11. The past two years I have had to live in Okotoks and billet as our U18AAA team has day time programming. I have had to learn how to manage my time, be an advocate for my learning and compete at the highest level I could with hockey. This move was a big adjustment but I am fortunate to have a great billet, supportive family and a great school. I have a younger sister named Brynn who is two years younger than me who also plays high level hockey as well as a younger brother named Jett who is five years younger and plays high level hockey as well so we are a busy family!
I have been committed to the sport of hockey since a very young age. My goal would be to play college hockey at the highest level that I can, while attaining a college education. I feel I have many qualities that make me a great team player. I am coachable, positive, hardworking, I am a leader and always willing to put the team first.
I am always looking for feedback to continue to be a better player and leader off the ice as well. I feel by always trying to work my hardest and try my best, good results will come in athletics and academics.
Hockey is not the only sport I play. I am a multi-sport athlete, and enjoy playing school sports such as badminton, fastpitch and track and field. I won a banner for our district in shot put. I also enjoy playing golf in the summer.
As both of my parents are educators I have always been diligent and committed to my studies. I know I must plan and organize my time in an efficient manner as I am busy with hockey both on ice and off ice. This is a skill that I hope will serve me well when I am at college.
My parents are big influences in my life as my dad played Jr hockey and my mom played University hockey in Canada. Hockey is a sport that is a love for our entire family and a sport that has provided us with great opportunities and amazing memories.
I am always open to new adventures and experiences and look forward to pursuing hockey beyond grade 12, wherever that may take me.
Thank you
Tori Evans
