Hi coach!
I am 18 and starting my third year in a three-year civics/society program, meaning I will graduate in the summer of 2022. To play on the club as I do now, I moved roughly, 40 miles, an hour away from my family to live in an apartment by myself.
When I am not on the ice, I like to highlight my musical side. I have been playing the violin for 7 years and am also an amateur guitar player. I have been taking singing lessons and also sang in choirs, in which one of them was singing for the church. Until not that long ago, I also trained track and field, where I competed for only a while and got medals in mostly the high jump. I also enjoy cooking, which I get to do a lot considering I live on my own. Living by myself has taught me responsibility, organizational skills, and getting to know myself better.
On the ice, I see myself as a fast, hardworking teammate who works on the details. My teammates themselves have given me feedback that I work hard in every situation and never give up, and due to the track and field, I have the speed with me. As a hockey player, I know you can never stop developing and I know my flaws but I like to focus on my strength and what I can contribute to the team instead. I like to receive feedback and am always prepared to make adjustments. I am a goal-oriented athlete and I play best when I am a part of a hardworking team. Over the years I have focused on becoming a highly versatile player that my coach can rely on in any situation. I do not need to be a star and I am not motivated by a spotlight.
My long term aspirations are working with people in some form and playing in the NWHL. To achieve my goals, I want to attend a top-rated school that offers a competitive athletic program.
