Reyna Radhakrishnan '26 Recruiting Profile

I am an 18-year-old wing who currently plays for the Connecticut Jr. Rangers.  I started hockey later than most - when I was in 6th grade.  For the first 3 season I played for Lexington, KY. Then I progressed to Cincinnati (2 years), Indianapolis (2 years), and now I am with the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. 

I love forechecking, backchecking, and pressuring the defense into mistakes and turnovers. I also enjoy playing on our penalty-kill line. My primary attributes are coachability, positive attitude, and making the right play at the right time to create opportunities for our team. I am working to really build my puck control and shooting, and continue work with a skills coach weekly in addition to my club practices and strength/conditioning.

I also played lacrosse for my high school and admit that I joined the team to maintain fitness, cross train, and improve hand-eye coordination for hockey. I enjoy lacrosse but LOVE hockey.

Academically, I graduated in May of 2025 from Lafayette Senior High School (Lexington, KY) with a focus in the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA) - creative writing division.  I am passionate about creative writing. I have received some awards for my writing, mostly in poetry, and am also writing a novel about women in hockey.  In addition to playing hockey in college, I plan to pursue a degree in English/Creative Writing and Education. I want to represent my school with a strong team spirit and high academic performance, with the goal ultimately of teaching English and Creative Writing along with coaching hockey.

For my PG year, I am working on my book, will do a research project with a graduate student, and volunteer for the Carver Center in Stamford, CT.
