I have been playing hockey for three years now, and every time I go to the rink and put on skates, I'm ready to play and put forth my best effort. Since I started skating later than most people, I have worked extra hard and try to be the best hockey player I can be, especially being on a boys team for my first three years. This past summer I had knee surgery and my motivation was to recover fast and get back onto the ice as soon as I could.
I am a good listener and respect my coaches. When given constructive criticism, I do my best to use it and try to improve. I play additional sports including volleyball, tennis, and cross country. I maintain high grades and am in advanced classes. I enjoy extracurricular clubs at school, help out at my church as an Altar Server and assist in youth ministry events. I am a compassionate and responsible person. I take care of my younger brother who has type 1 diabetes, and I know how to give him insulin injections.
I am looking forward to new high school hockey opportunities and hopefully one day to play in college.
