Personal Statement

I love this game! I appreciate everything that it has given me over the 13 years that I have been playing. I have created great friendships and bonds over the years that I will cherish forever. I have celebrated victories and endured some tough defeats. Learning from both! I’ve been very fortunate to have had great coaching, skating and development at the NCAA, PWHL & NHL levels throughout my journey. I am grateful to my family for giving me this opportunity, sacrificing their time, and allowing me to pursue my passion. Their sacrifices help motivate me as I accept new challenges and work through new hurdles on or off the ice. I have played high-level club hockey with boys’ programs in the Eastern Hockey Federation (EHF) and with top Tier 1 girls’ programs in Massachusetts in the New England Girls Hockey League (NEGHL). I have played for College Prospect Combine (CPC) development team at the U16 level in a hope of gaining additional visibility from college recruits. I now have recently moved on to play with the U19 Boston Junior Eagles Team in a continued effort to develop my on-ice skills, create new friendships, and exposure possibilities.  My summers have consisted of speed, strength and endurance training through Exceed Sports Performance and Fitness, on ice training and development with North American Elite, various skating, edge work, and shooting programs, in addition to playing on showcase and tournament teams to help gain visibility. I also row crew competitively at the club level at Community Rowing Incorporated (CRI), one of the top-ranking club programs in New England. I have qualified and rowed at the US Rowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota Florida. This was a great experience and one that I will never forget. I love this sport! The training, the drive, the endurance, and the compete level that it brings out of me in unmatched. It pushes me both mentally and physically. I will never allow myself to let-up, as my boatmates depend on me! This sport very much complements my hockey development as I push myself to win one-on-one battles and as I backcheck and forecheck to keep the pressure on our opponents. I play the game with tenacity! I loved playing with all my teams and believe that I have given back as well as taken different aspects of the game from all of them. I’m a good student and take the highest-level honors and AP courses that are offered. My grades will reflect my efforts in school. My goal is to find a college where I can pursuit my enthusiasm in the classroom as a pre-med student with specific interests in psychiatry. I desire to play hockey and compete at the highest level.

  • Invitational Development Program for prep school and college players (U16, U19). The program consists of 3 on-ice sessions per week from the beginning of June until middle of August. Players will go through a development process that includes technical skills such as skating, weight shift & edges, puck protection, proper ways of receiving and making passes, as well as shooting and high tempo competitive games. Sessions will focus on movement with and away from the puck, which also serve as the core principles and concepts of our program. Players will be challenged to problem solve and make plays as they complete series of "intention and expectation" situations. These sessions lead right into showcase and tournament events so that players are best prepared to play to their potential!
