I am going into my grade 12 year at Miles Macdonell Collegiate in Manitoba, Canada, where I am taking some International Baccalaureate courses. I was in French Immersion from kindergarten to grade 9. While I am extremely devoted to hockey, my education comes first. I am primarily interested in attending school in Canada, but I am also open to going to school in the United States as well. I am looking into going into medecine, or biological sciences because of my interest in biology.
I've played defence for the Winnipeg Avros AAA team for the past two years and it has been the highlight of my hockey career so far. I have been playing hockey since I was 5 years old and it remains my favorite activity. I started out playing boys hockey until I was 12, when I was called up to join the girls AA Selkirk Fisherman.I won the Hardest Worker award in 2011-2012. I also played for the Manitoba Junior Bisons spring team in 2013 and 2014. I am a very hard worker and do my best to follow the advice given to me by my coaches. I was chosen to participate in the Manitoba Winter games in 2014 for hockey and was picked for the top 40 camp.
As well as hockey I also do a lot of cycling and swimming during the summer. I am currently attempting to get my NLS lifeguarding certification so I can get a summer job.
