Hello coaches! My name is Abbey Tyree and I'm a 16 year old sophomore at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, MI. I'm a part of the Saint Clair Shores 16u AA travel team. I can play any position on ice, but I prefer right wing. I'm a hard working, passionate, and dedicated hockey player. I love to train on and off the ice as much as possible. While training, I push myself to be the best I can be, which continues to grow my love for hockey. It allows me to challenge myself to be a better person overall. My interest for the ice started when I was only three years old. As soon as I set eyes on the figure skaters in the Olympics, I immediately knew I wanted to skate, and so I started with the basics of figure skating. When I was 5, I was at my friend's birthday party at an open ice skate. I tried my first pair of hockey skates and found a stick and a puck. At that point, there was no turning back. I then grew my understanding of the sport and started with club when I was 8. Since then, I have been on travel league. Hockey makes up who I am. Aside from my love for hockey, I also enjoy schoolwork as well. I enjoyed attending school in kindergarten, and I still love it to this day. I try my best to be studious, accountable, and ambitious. Including hockey and education, I have a passion for doing art crafts such as crocheting blankets and building ceramics. One last activity outside of hockey and school is my job at a senior living facility called Fox Run. I work as a student server, which allows me to expand my knowledge and communication skills. My ultimate goal is to continue to play competitive hockey and to get a good education.
