Starting hockey in South Dakota in the 7th grade was one of the best decisions I've ever made. As soon as I stepped on the ice I fell in love with the sport. In the beginning I always thought I would just play through high school, but then I realized how much I love this sport. I also realized how much I wanted to play in college. So around freshman year I started taking the sport more seriously and started working harder to improve and better myself. My sophomore year I ended up moving to Michigan and received a lot more opportunities through hockey, and not only bettered myself, but solidified how much I wanted to play college hockey. I balance my life between hockey and school, being a B average student. I've always been told I'm a very coachable kid and a hard worker, which I believe to be some of my stronger characteristics. During the off season I'm constantly working to prepare for the upcoming season and trying to work on any weakness so I can start off the season strong.
