Since the moment my Dad took me out of dance, unbeknownst to my Mom, to put me into hockey, this sport has been a huge part of my life. I’ve lived and breathed hockey these past 8 years of my playing career. I love this game. I love the structure, but at the same time, the opportunity for creativity it provides. I love meeting other girls that share the same passion for this sport that I have.
Through this game, I have been able to experience both great success and at times, great challenge. My biggest challenge I’ve overcome has been the state championship games I’ve been a part of. In my career I have been to a total of 6 state championship games. I finally won my first state championship this past season in 2025 with my Belle Tire 16U Tier 1 family. I began to wonder if it would ever come, if I would ever get to throw my gloves in the air at the sound of the buzzer of the championship game. But this past season, I dug in, found a new level of physical and mental resilience, and made sure to never to take shortcuts, and in the end, myself and my teammates were rewarded with the State Championship. Through the seasons in which I was on the losing end, I still showed strong stats in the regular season as well as the state tournament. For example, in my second year in 12U as a player, I had a 51 goal season as the first player to do so at that age level at Tier 2 in 32 years. I have a strong hockey IQ and I see the ice very well. I have quick hands and a hard shot. I also pride myself on being a locker room girl. I lift my teammates up and show strong leadership qualities. This is exemplified by my being named captain twice and an assistant captain twice over my playing career. I continue to remain humble and know that I have a lot of room for growth and I keep striving toward reaching a higher playing potential.
Aside from hockey, I am also a strong student at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods MI. Even though I do miss school because of hockey tournaments and such, I maintain a stable school life and keep my grades at mostly an A level. At the completion of the 2024-2025 school year, I earned a 3.9 GPA, ending the year with all A’s and one B. Next year I am set and excited to take 3 honors courses that I was specifically recommended for.
I am a leader in everything I do, and friends, classmates and teammates alike look to me for advice and guidance. I am a student of the game and am always looking for ways to improve so that I can bring the best of my game to the team. I am a very sociable person and am easy to talk to.
I am super focused on the goal of playing collegiate hockey. I am looking to marry that goal with my academic goals. I have excelled in both my English and Public Speaking programs and am very interested in a communications and sports media academic path to reach my future aspirations.
I am very confident in my game both on and off the ice, and I know that I can be a great asset to any program that is interested in me. My work ethic, my confidence, and my strength in the classroom will have a positive impact on any college campus. Thank you for your consideration.
