Personal Statement
Going to the Youth Olympic Games has given me the opportunity to play with skilled players and gave me more confidence in playing hockey, allowing me to play at Shattuck.
When I was in second grade, my neighbor invited me to play street hockey with him, and some friends, every week. I became interested in the sport and started ice hockey in fourth grade. Ever since then, I have loved the sport and eventually transferred from figure skating to ice hockey.
Playing hockey and being captain on my old team has helped me develop as a person by gaining responsibility and discipline in not only hockey but in everything I do. For college, I want to keep pushing my limits by playing NCAA hockey as well as challenge myself academically for my future. I am interested in studying in the science field.
