As soon as I could walk, my dad had me in skates, and my love for the game began.
Since early in my life, hockey has been my number one sport and dedication. I have played every other sport - after the 10th grade I chose to place my primary effort in hockey. On the ice, I feel as if nothing can touch me and all my thoughts settle and focus - it's only me, my teammates and the game I love.
I was truly honored to have been chosen All State Honorable Mention this past season. My dream is to continue to play hockey at a highly competitive level beyond high school. Our varsity team's motto is "Hard Work Works" - which I practice and play by.
On and off the ice, I have been training and preparing to be the best player/person I need to be in order to reach my academic, athletic and life goals. With the determination to be better on the ice and give my all at all times, I also make sure I am doing the same in school and in my community. Helping others has always been in my nature. In school, I facilitate a gym class that encourages my classmates with physical disabilities to have fun while being active. In this class, these students have taught me to never take anything for granted. They all push me to be my best and I strive to do the same for them.
I aim to continue to do all in my control to make my dreams come true. Knowing myself, I can make it happen with continued work and dedication for the love I have for this sport. I believe I would be an asset to any team as I am highly competitive and have played and excelled at the most difficult levels possible up to now. I look forward to future challenges and giving my best to a team willing to give me chance to prove myself.
