Kaylie Baerg '23 Recruiting Profile

Dear coaches,

I have never really put the thought on if I wanted to play college hockey until my mom asked me one day. I am now really interested and committed in playing hockey in college also, I am will put all of into working hard and becoming the best goaltender of my abilities. Hockey has made my life more enjoyable and has given me a drive to want to maybe make it a living sometime in the near future.

I think I am a perfect candidate for your team because I am willing to work my butt off and work my hardest. I think I have really grown as a goaltender in the past four years on varsity. I will take this time that I have off-season to get better and will work off ice because I don’t have ice during the summer time.

I am from a small town and we don't get to go to the state championship because our team ranges from seventh graders to seniors who don't have the determination to go all out. Some of us have a lot of abilities but others don't. They play hockey to say they have played on the team. But I play hockey because I am determined and it's not just a sport to me it's a passion in which I want to fulfill in the future. 

Some things that make me different from others is my dream and desire to play hockey for a living and to be on a team that is dedicated on working as a team to win games and making it further than we think we can go and do things that we didn’t know was possible. My present and past coaches that I have always said “ It doesn’t matter if we win or lose it means if you gave 110% into the game and if you tried your absolute best.” That has always given me a reason to always to give it my all and never give up no matter what the score is.
