Personal Statement

My name is Ellyson Henjum and I am a class of 2026 Defenseman who plays on the Girls Varsity Team at Cretin-Derham Hall. My coaches tell me I am very coachable, leading to my development on and off the ice. My coaches and teammates also say I’m a big communicator, an aggressive defense-minded defenseman, and can shoot from the point. I work on getting better every day by working out at ETS Performance, shooting/stick handing in the garage, watching game film, working with private on and off-ice coaches, and also being an UNDRDOGX Ambassador. I also work very hard on the academic side of things causing me to have a 3.7311 GPA at a college prep high school. My goal after college is to go to medical school to ultimately become a Sports Medicine Physician.
