As a young hockey player I did not play goalie. When no one on my team would step up to the plate to play goalie I did. Doing that has taught me to push myself to try new things. From there I continued to keep pushing myself to do better I worked hard to become the good player I am today. With that hard work came growth in myself and improvement in my game. With that I was given opportunity, i was forced to make some sacrifices. Choosing to leave my small town team, friends and hockey family was hard, but hockey had taught me that good things do not come easy. After I left I achieved things that I knew would never happen on my old team. Now I continue to make new goals to push myself even harder and wont stop until they are achieved. I love critiquing myself and recognizing my mistakes by watching recordings of my games. I strive to do better the next time I step on the ice. Hockey has taught me many life lessons and along the way I have gained new friends I now call my family. In the classroom I keep my grades up to keep being able to play and go places in the future. With all of this said I will always do anything it will take to achieve my goals.
