Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Olivia Vaagen. I am finishing my sophomore year at Richardto-Taylor high school in North Dakota. I have been playing goalie for two full seasons. 2020-2021 season my team’s main goalie was unable to play so they asked me to. After that season it lead me to commit to that position and I have played two seasons at the varsity level. I know that I want to play at the college level for hockey. I am very passionate about this sport and I work hard for it, as well as keeping my academics one of my priority. This sport has brought me life friends, taught me to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, and facing challenges mentally and physically. Yet I still love the game and that’s why I want to continue my career at the collegiate level.
