Jadis Howden '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Jadis Howden and I am currently playing U18 AA (Tier 1) hockey. I am interested in taking my game to the next level by continuing to play and develop my skills in college/university.

This season (2024-25) I am leading the team as captain and playing centre at the U18 AA level for the Waterloo Ravens. Although I am currently playing centre, I am known to be a utility player and am able to play every position with proficiency. Among my strengths on the ice are my vision and power. I am able to find open areas on the ice and am able to make myself available, especially in the offensive zone. Through lots of power skating and other methods of training, I have learned to use my size to my advantage. I am able to use my size and edgework to protect the puck and power around the other team and drive the puck to the net or make plays in the offensive end.

Academically, I am currently a Grade 12 student at Centennial Colligate Vocational Institute in Guelph, Ontario. I have a 3.9 GPA. I would like to study either kinesiology or physical education in university in hopes to be a Phys.Ed teacher in the future! 

I am a very hard-working individual and am always willing to go the extra mile to meet my goals in life. I love to help people in need and always treat people with respect and kindness. My coaches and teachers have always described me as determined, intelligent, hardworking, and enthusiastic. In addition to hockey, I am also involved in equestrianism and high school track and field.
