Sydney Held '24 Recruiting Profile

My primary goal has been to play hockey at the highest level possible for as long as I can remember. I'm driven by my passion for the game and am also a strong believer in giving back to the hockey community. I volunteer with younger goalies to teach them the basics of goaltending, share my love for the sport and hopefully inspire them the same way my mentors have inspired me. I know that I could make a great impact on any team.

My biggest strength is that I play with lots of confidence and I’m capable of identifying my areas of weakness and working to improve them every day. 

I’m very coachable and will put my best effort towards anything I can improve on, whether it’s on or off the ice. I always play with a team-first attitude because I think that’s a crucial factor in having the right team chemistry/team culture for success. 

On top of athletics, academics are an extremely high priority. I make sure all school work is not only completed on time but also completed with my best effort put into it. 

My work ethic and dedication are second to none and I always strive to be the hardest working athlete on and off the ice.
