My name is Alyssia (AJ) Jamal. I am 17 years old and I attend Dunbarton High School.
I started playing hockey at the age of 3. At that age, I was just excited to be on the ice. My passion and love for the game developed soon after, and I have continued to better myself to be the best player I can be. I love hockey because of the competitiveness, the intensity, and because you're part of a team, which is like a family.
I am always looking for ways to improve myself. I strive to learn new techniques to help me improve my game. I am a team player and I am very coachable. Playing hockey for Team Canada has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I see myself playing hockey at the collegiate level as a path to achieving my dream.
One of my greatest achievements in hockey was winning a silver medal (we lost in double overtime) in the OWHA Provincial Championships while playing U13 AA for North York Storm during the 2018/2019 season.
Hockey has always been a part of my life, and will always continue to be.
